“Creativity is not the finding of a thing, but the making something out of it after it is found.”
When you sit and watch a child at play you begin to see that it is so much more than childhood passing time, it is learning.
Watching my boys find pleasure whilst they play together is one of my most enjoyable hobbies.
This week we have been busy, but have still found time to play.
And what is more fun than a stick
A stick can be anything you imagine, with as stick in your hand, and the sun in the sky your adventures are sure to be amazing.
Always remember to take time each day to simply play.

Such true words. I can’t tell you how many stick related posts I have on my blog over the years. Sticks are a child’s best friend and creativity comes naturally when they have time to play. Your boys are lucky to have this time, so much is structured for children these days.
Thank you for joining me for #CountryKids
I have a stick collector here too. Every adventure we have normally involves a stick at some point and I have a pile of them by our front door #CountryKids
You were exactly who I thought of!
The boys have such a sweet relatiionship and sticks are fun
Cute family photos, but also really love (& agree) with the message in your words.
We have a book 50 things to do with sticks! Such an amazingly versatile yet free resource.
my kids love sticks too. It’s so lovely to watch their imaginative play. #countrykids
Ahhh, that look like they’ve got a great bond. My kids love playing with sticks too! #CountryKids
I quite agree – play is so important. Allowing children to be creative and enjoy life.
My car and my back garden are full of sticks my kids have collected on our adventures. A forest school leader once said that it is simply the best toy ever. So true!
